What does it take for a classical new music ensemble to make it in the 21st century? Christopher Rountree, artistic director of wildUp, talks about what motivated him to start a different kind of chamber orchestra. Chris shares thoughts on one of wildUp’s recent shows with commentary on pieces by Kate Moore and Ted Hearne. He shows undying enthusiasm for Mozart, opens up about the realities of getting organized while staying hip, and reveals that conducting … is all about love.
